In only 45 minutes, you can be on the fantastic, sandy West Coast beaches. The world-renowned Puy du Fou leisure park and amazing son et lumiere is close by and highly recommended. You may like to visit some of the many rivers and lakes in the area, which boast good fishing, walking and cycling. The Venise Vert with its miles of interlocking canals and waterways is a great place to visit for all these activities.

For those of you with a love of architecture and good shopping, the chic city of La Rochelle is approximately 45 minutes away. Closer to home, Fontenay La Comte, both the town and the chateau, is well worth a visit.
